What to Expect when Applying

Once you submit an application for an iLOC, our team helps guide policyowners through the process of opening an account. Our customer success team has an outstanding rating from hundreds of happy iLOC Clients.

Fast, Online Application

You’ll start with a quick eligibility check before we ask for any personal information. You will need to have your permanent life insurance policy numbers from eligible carriers⁽¹⁾, current identification, and a printer close by. Our initial online application can be completed in around 15 minutes⁽⁴⁾.

Document Gathering, Review, and Underwriting

Our Customer Success team will begin requesting documents and reviewing the application to begin underwriting. Once this step is completed, you will receive a Line of Credit Offer to review. If the policy is collateralized elsewhere, our team will walk you through additional steps.

Sign your Loan Documents

After underwriting, we’ll generate a line of credit agreement and a collateral assignment form. You will be notified to log back in to the application and execute these documents online.

Activating the Line of Credit

Once the collateral assignment is confirmed by the carrier, we will handle the refinancing of existing policy loan(s), if any exist. We’ll notify the you when you can begin making draws on their new iLOC account.

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license and other identifying documents.
